Senior Network Engineer

About The Position
NEP Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer / Network Architect to help grow, secure, and maintain our global network infrastructure. In this highly visible role, you�ll support a multi-location LAN/WAN environment with enterprise-level availability requirements while helping design and integrate networks that support future growth, acquisitions, and evolving technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- 10+ years of network engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Significant hands-on experience with: Fortinet firewalls
- Significant hands-on experience with: Cisco switching and routing
- Significant hands-on experience with: ZTNA and secure remote access environments
- Expert knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
- Experience supporting AWS cloud networking
- Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools such as Entuity, FortiManager, and NetBox
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support a multi-location LAN/WAN and converged network environment, meeting high availability and uptime standards
- Manage global network administration, including configuration, maintenance, security, and telecom implementations
- Partner with global broadcast teams to understand their environments and ensure seamless connectivity to the corporate network
- Design and evolve network architecture, including LAN/WAN, wireless, data center networking, security, and remote access (VPN / ZTNA)
- Support network and voice integrations related to acquisitions and business expansion
- Plan, test, and implement network upgrades and enhancements in collaboration with vendors
- Maintain network security controls, access policies, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams across the globe to integrate and manage shared network environments
- Provide third-tier technical support for complex network issues
- Participate in on-call support rotations, with occasional travel to NEP locations as needed
