About The Position

Enable Resource Group is seeking a mission-minded Senior Engineer to join our growing team! Since 2000, Enable Ministry Partners, a division of Enable Resource Group, has managed and supported IT solutions for hundreds of churches across the country. By helping our church clients effectively employ technology in ministry efforts, they are better able to steward their resources toward Kingdom work in local communities and around the world. As we provide technology strategy plans, AI consulting, project management, help desk support, onsite assistance, technology audits and other services, our church staffs are freed up to focus on ministry, worship, and growing in love for God and others. As a Senior Engineer, you will assess, design, implement, and oversee network, server, and cloud infrastructures for multiple client environments. You'll utilize your technical expertise, deep troubleshooting skills, and practice with root-cause analysis to guarantee excellent service delivery and environment health at the highest technical level. The solutions you implement will directly represent the technical and organizational goals of Enable clients, while prioritizing the security of their systems.

Requirements

Experience in MSP and business-class environments
Switching and Routing – Ability to design, implement, and maintain enterprise/hospitality class networks including layer 2/3, UTM Firewall deployment, QoS, Spanning Tree, core switch and firewall routing, IPSec VPNs, and Zero Trust models.
Wireless Networking – Ability to design, implement, and maintain enterprise/hospitality class wireless network. Deep understanding of spectrums, frequencies, and interference avoidance configuration.
Voice over IP solutions - Ability to design, implement, and maintain VoIP systems that require Session Border Controllers.
Microsoft 365 - Ability to create and maintain new cloud tenants that require robust email, file storage, and collaboration services according to the best security practices including Conditional Access. (Google Workspace experience may be considered.)
Windows Server – Design, Implement, and maintain Windows Server for Hyper-V, Domain Controller, DHCP, DNS, File Services, and Group Policy. Experience in AD Connect and related technologies. (Related experience in VMWare accepted.)
Deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Ability to perform Design and implementation of all of the above solutions.
Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis across multiple IT domains.
Ability to perform Implementation of technical business continuity solutions adhering to the 3-2-1 model.
Ability to undergo and pass a background check in accordance with state and federal laws.
Valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Experience with large churches or nonprofit environments
macOS management with MDM (Mosyle preferred)
Implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Teams as a phone system
Azure networking and server implementation and management
A bachelor's degree in a related area of study

Responsibilities

Architect (design) solutions for a wide range of environments, focusing on enterprise/hospitality-class wired and wireless networks, virtual server infrastructures, and cloud platforms.
Implement and maintain enterprise/hospitality-class wired and wireless networks.
Implement and maintain virtual and physical server solutions that can scale from SMB to enterprise-class.
Implement and maintain cloud solutions in Microsoft 365 (or other platforms) that require robust email, file storage, and collaboration services.
Implement and maintain cloud, local, and hybrid Voice over IP solutions.
Implement and maintain robust business continuity solutions focusing on the technical aspects of backup and disaster recovery.
Assess client and prospect-client environments from a technical infrastructure perspective.
Maintain client infrastructure through virtual ownership, performing migrations, recommending upgrades, leading and mentoring technical teams in implementation, prioritizing security, and more.
Perform root-cause analysis on escalated issues from the Enable technical team.
Communicate clearly, relationally, effectively, and appropriately with technical and non-technical clients, including training and mentorship of other engineers.
