About The Position

TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Engineer / Deployment Manager to lead large-scale network infrastructure deployments within enterprise and data center environments. This position combines hands-on network engineering expertise with operational leadership responsibilities, overseeing technician teams, managing customer-facing projects, and driving process improvements across multiple initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in both technical problem-solving and team leadership, with experience supporting Layer 2/Layer 3 networks, network security, and large-scale deployment programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or network deployment environments.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles.
  • Experience supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing technologies.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise LAN or data center environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco networking experience (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Experience leading technical teams and deployment programs.
  • Project management experience within technology infrastructure environments.
  • Experience developing operational processes and technical standards.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft or enterprise-scale customer environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for network security, Layer 2, and Layer 3 infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve network outages, performance degradation, configuration issues, and security incidents.
  • Configure, analyze, and optimize complex enterprise and data center network environments.
  • Support core, distribution, and access-layer switching infrastructure.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with escalation teams, engineering groups, and business stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
  • Utilize Cisco routing and switching technologies to troubleshoot and support production environments.
  • Develop technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
  • Lead and manage teams of 15–20 network deployment technicians and contractors.
  • Oversee multiple deployment and installation projects across customer campuses.
  • Manage technician leads and coordinate project activities to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with customer safety standards, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Drive process improvements related to onboarding, operations, quality control, and invoicing.
  • Monitor project quality and provide oversight prior to customer handoff.
  • Partner with internal sales and delivery teams to identify opportunities for program growth.
  • Support bid management and project planning efforts for new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate technician schedules and resource allocation across concurrent projects.
