What you will do: You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical applications and infrastructure, combining hands-on troubleshooting with leadership in system administration and solution development. Primary job duties include: Serving as the system administrator for mission-critical enterprise applications, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance, Monitoring assigned applications to ensure strong performance, availability, and reliability, Supporting both cloud-based and on-premises technologies, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across systems, networks, and applications, Managing file shares and servers as part of overall incident response and system support, Ensuring applications and systems meet SCDOR security standards through patching, hardening, and compliance reviews, Recommending and implementing remediation actions to address security vulnerabilities, Working with stakeholders to deliver solutions for new and existing systems, Leading or supporting project efforts through requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and documentation, Researching emerging technologies and system updates and advising leadership on potential improvements, Collaborating with team members to ensure cross-training and shared system knowledge to support business continuity.
