This role involves the general management and network duties for a quickly-evolving network topology. The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for LAN/WAN installation, implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and management. This includes deploying and troubleshooting network configurations, performing monitoring and reporting on network usage, and participating in the daily operation of the company’s network and telecom infrastructure. The position requires working with network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, and Cisco Meraki, as well as performing network and security audits. Responsibilities also include network backup and recovery to ensure data integrity for critical data. The role ensures timely user notification of maintenance requirements and their effects on system availability. Additionally, the Senior Network Administrator will create, maintain, and update documentation of the networking infrastructure, provide 2nd & 3rd level support for infrastructure issues, and offer guidance to staff on work procedures, technical issues, work priorities, and special requests. A continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service is expected. The role also involves helping to design and implement a disaster recovery plan, recommending and performing software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases, and conducting research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards.
