Octacom is looking for a versatile Software Developer with .Net and C# experience to join our growing team. This is a full-stack role where you will have an opportunity to truly contribute. You’ll assist in the design, development, and support of a diverse ecosystem—from backend Windows services and Web APIs to desktop applications and light web frontends. Requirements
- 5+ years of hands on experience with .NET and C#
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to the .NET ecosystem (C#) and a strong grasp of relational databases (MSSQL) and SQL querying.
- A commitment to writing reusable, maintainable code and experience with Git version control.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates.
- A "self-starter" attitude. You’re comfortable shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment and eager to learn legacy systems and modern stacks alike.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of VB.NET
- An interest in AI/Machine Learning tools
- An interest in DevOps tools
Responsibilities
- Develop and support a variety of applications (C# .NET, Web APIs, and legacy VB.NET) with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to interact with our MSSQL databases.
- Participate in the entire dev process, from initial research and documentation to deployment and bug fixing.
- Work closely with management and operations to troubleshoot issues and recommend new tools or technologies to improve our workflow.
- Provide high-quality support for existing production applications, ensuring they remain reliable for our clients.
