About The Position

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. The role involves leading the development of new features and resolving complex bugs in existing .NET Framework applications. The developer will architect and implement scalable solutions, maintain and optimize the codebase for performance and reliability, and write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. This position provides technical leadership within Agile Scrum team activities, supports the migration of legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET 8 for modernization and cloud readiness, and contributes to containerization efforts and migration of applications to AWS EKS. The role also includes mentoring junior developers, driving third-level support of applications in production, collaborating with architects and product owners, identifying and implementing performance optimizations and technical debt reduction, contributing to CI/CD pipeline improvements, and participating in technical design discussions and documentation.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on writing clean and well-documented code
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET/ASP.NET Framework
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures)
  • Proficiency in Clean architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar development tools
  • Familiarity with Unit testing and test-driven development
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
  • Proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement
  • Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with team members
  • Interest in modern software development practices and technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical billing, healthcare claims processing, or insurance domain
  • Familiarity with Front-end technologies (React experience is a plus)
  • Experience with medical bill review systems
  • AWS cloud services experience
  • Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud-native architecture
  • Dynatrace or similar application performance monitoring experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of new features and resolve complex bugs in existing .NET Framework applications

  • Identify and implement performance optimizations and technical debt reduction initiatives
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment processes
  • Participate in technical design discussions and documentation efforts
