About The Position

The Senior .NET Developer will work onsite at the client’s Tallahassee, Florida location for a temporary project estimated to last 12 months or longer, with possible extensions. The client requires work at its site 100% of the time; remote work and telecommuting are not available. Candidates must be able to relocate as needed. The position is being filled through approved staffing partners and is not available through direct application to the client.

The developer will contribute as a developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert on large, cross-functional application projects involving complex financial business processes. The role includes implementing robust and scalable solutions, supporting quality assurance through production deployment, troubleshooting application issues, collaborating with distributed teams, improving development practices, and analyzing financial systems and related business processes.

Requirements

• Availability to work onsite at the client’s Tallahassee, Florida site 100% of the time; remote work and telecommuting are not available.
• Ability to relocate as required.
• At least 7 years of experience as a lead developer or development manager.
• At least 5 years of experience with development technologies including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases or similar relational databases.
• Experience with relational database terminology and concepts, including SQL proficiency.
• Experience developing and maintaining software systems that deal with complex financial business processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET.
• Experience with ORMs, Entity Framework, and n-Hibernate.

Responsibilities

• Work as a developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications and services involving complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions are implemented.
• Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance for new code from inception through integration, staging, and production environments.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques and teamwork.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, including design, roadmap definition, and standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborate with developers and architects on guidelines, methodologies, and documentation.
• Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of projects are communicated, supported, and delivered to high standards.
• Develop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies.
• Analyze financial systems and dependent business processes and assist with re-engineering and process redesign.
