About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior .NET / AWS Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud-based applications in the McKinney, Texas area. The role calls for strong hands-on .NET development and AWS experience, application integration expertise, and a solid understanding of software architecture and cloud-native solutions. Experience in the life insurance industry and familiarity with Resonant are preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential. The engineer will work with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions, contribute to architecture and technical design decisions, and promote sound engineering practices. The position also involves supporting deployment automation and CI/CD, troubleshooting complex application, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues, and providing technical guidance and mentorship as appropriate.

Requirements

At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including strong hands-on expertise in .NET technologies.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, or deploying solutions on AWS.
Experience with AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, and Amazon API Gateway.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting application and system integrations using APIs, REST services, messaging, or related technologies.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, application integration, and cloud-native development principles.
Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the life insurance industry, including familiarity with insurance business processes and enterprise applications.
Familiarity with Resonant.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build and deployment processes.
Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and guiding implementation decisions.
Experience contributing to cloud architecture decisions and application modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications using .NET technologies.
Design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
Lead and contribute to application and system integration initiatives across platforms and enterprise applications.
Develop and support APIs, REST services, and other integration components for reliable data exchange between systems.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical options, and deliver solutions.
Contribute to application architecture, technical design decisions, and long-term technology strategy.
Promote engineering best practices, including clean code, reusable components, testing, performance optimization, security, and reliability.
Support deployment automation and CI/CD processes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members, as appropriate.
Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues and implement sustainable solutions.
