Senior .NET / AWS Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior .NET / AWS Engineer for a one-year engagement in the McKinney, Texas area. The position is described as hybrid/onsite. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in AWS cloud services and .NET development, along with application and system integration experience. Life Insurance domain experience and familiarity with Resonant are highly desirable. The role calls for a technically strong professional with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The engineer will design, develop, and support scalable .NET applications; architect and implement solutions using AWS services; lead and contribute to integrations across platforms and applications; and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. The role also provides technical leadership and mentorship, contributes to architecture discussions and long-term technical strategy, and ensures code quality, performance, security, and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience, with strong expertise in .NET technologies.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Proven experience with application and system integrations, including APIs, REST services, and messaging.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
- Proactive, self-driven, and accountable.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
