Berklee believes in the power of music to transform lives. Operating at the intersection of music, science, and social impact, the Berklee Music & Health Institute (BMHI) drives cross-sector collaborations between artists, researchers, and healthcare leaders to translate scientific discovery into community-driven health outcomes. BMHI is looking for a creative, mission-driven Senior Music Therapist to design and deliver impactful, community-centered programming across the greater Boston area. This role is tailor-made for a collaborative professional who thrives in a student-centered environment. Grounded in Community Music Therapy and a trauma-informed framework, the Senior Music Therapist co-creates participatory music experiences alongside community partners, including health centers and peer recovery programs. By maintaining an embedded presence at these sites, they build deep trust and generate practice-based evidence to scale long-term health outcomes. True to Berklee's educational vision, this professional also champions workforce development, directing the institute's music therapy internship program and mentoring students to build vital competencies in facilitation and clinical reasoning.
