About The Position

The Senior MRO Coordinator is the primary Supply Chain contact for equipment spare parts and is responsible for developing and training on purchasing, managing, and inventory requirements for spare parts process throughout all plants at Swagelok. The position also develops and manages supplier relationships for maintenance tools and spare parts and is the liaison between suppliers and other Swagelok departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, or certification in Materials Management.
  • 5-7 years related Control / Tool and MRO Requirements Planning experience or scheduling / RX planning experience.
  • Two years’ experience related to tooling (i.e. Tool Crib).
  • Competent in using MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CMMS and knowledge of MRP II concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Supply Chain contact for internal customers and external suppliers regarding all maintenance tools and spare parts process.
  • Determine the corporate process to initiate and/or process all orders for maintenance tooling and all equipment spare parts.
  • Perform spare parts requirements planning for Swagelok facilities and assist the plants in governance of this process.
  • Manage all equipment spare parts inventories using appropriate systems. Work with other MRO Requirements Coordinators to minimize excess inventory and to utilize it across all facilities when it does exist.
  • Maintain the CMMS in cooperation with Reliability Excellence initiative. Develop and train on process to add equipment spare parts using the common naming methodologies including setup of storeroom/bin locations, inactivating obsolete parts.
  • Work with work management process owners and all plant Maintenance Schedulers to identify unusual or increased requirements for spare parts.
  • Respond to all internal and external customer messages and/or scheduling action messages within the expected timeframes.
  • Communicate changes in forecast to suppliers. Identify supplier capacity issues and recommend alternatives.
  • Analyze impact of non-conforming material (non-conformances for spare parts), determine the appropriate action plan, and ensure that suppliers or internal departments follow up as required.
  • Take appropriate action to prevent maintenance delays or out-of-stock situations.
  • Manage the cycle counting process for spare parts across all storerooms.
  • Manage spare parts changes, depleting old inventory and phasing in revised spare parts. Assist in identification and disposition of obsolete spare parts.
  • Maintain data integrity in the CMMS consistent across all plants and establish consistent taxonomy and naming conventions.
  • Work with supply chain associates regarding supplier performance metrics (Quality, Delivery Performance, Purchase Price Variance, etc.) and initiate corrective activity.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports and departmental key performance indicators to management for all plants.
  • Adhere to established standards, policies and procedures.
  • Create corporate equipment spare parts initiatives and governance policy companywide (inventory reduction, consolidation efforts, budgets).
  • Identify system flow improvements to eliminate non-value-added operations.
  • Is a lead trainer for departmental processes, suppliers, and change initiatives
