About The Position

This is an on-site, permanent position located at 3720 Westheimer Rd Ste 102, Houston, TX 77027. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. local time, with hours subject to change based on clinic demand. This is a permanent, on-site position. This role does not provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future). Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of MRI imaging principles, patient safety, and MRI safety screening.
  • Licensed with the appropriate board: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) (or equivalent), depending on the location of the role.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program or Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical MRI experience, including advanced MRI studies and demonstrated leadership or mentorship responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to independently perform advanced MRI examinations while maintaining exceptional image quality.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or leading MRI Technologists in a clinical environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability to resolve operational and technical issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A customer-focused mindset with exceptional patient care skills and the ability to explain complex procedures in language that is easily understood.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Prenuvo whole-body MRI scans while ensuring patient safety and adherence to Prenuvo imaging protocols.
  • Remain current on Prenuvo scan protocols and imaging best practices.
  • Review Medical Intake Forms (MIFs) to verify patient safety, implant compatibility, and MRI readiness.
  • Investigate implant-related safety concerns and escalate complex cases to the MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) when appropriate.
  • Verify scan indications and ensure patients are appropriately prepared, collaborating with patients, Sales, and Clinic teams as needed.
  • Review requisitions to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and properly uploaded.
  • Perform image post-processing, transfer images to PACS, and verify all post-processing steps are completed.
  • Utilize PACS and other ancillary software systems appropriately.
  • Order supplies, prepare scan rooms, maintain equipment cleanliness, and ensure the clinic remains patient-ready throughout the day.
  • Serve as the clinical leader and resource for MRI Technologists, providing mentorship, coaching, and ongoing technical guidance.
  • Train and onboard new technologists in patient safety, room preparation, communication, image acquisition, protocol adherence, time management, and post-processing.
  • Support technologists with image quality reviews, troubleshooting scanning challenges, and resolving equipment concerns while escalating issues to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Conduct routine scan quality audits, reviewing protocol adherence, patient positioning, breath-hold technique, image quality, and scan efficiency, while providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Promote consistent documentation, workflow standardization, and adherence to Prenuvo quality standards across the clinic.
  • Monitor scanner utilization, cancellations, and schedule gaps, identifying trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Investigate scheduling issues such as claustphobia, MRI safety exclusions, or booking errors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with scheduling adjustments, additional bookings, and overtime coordination as operational needs require.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and service visits for MRI equipment to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Support staff scheduling and coverage planning, including vacation planning, training schedules, and operational continuity.
  • Provide remote operational support, including scan assistance, when staffing shortages or unexpected absences occur.
