About The Position

Under the general supervision of the MRI Supervisor and the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the Senior MRI Technologist will perform a variety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations using the proper MRI safety practices. This role involves performing various MRI procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policies as an expert user, for patients of any age group for diagnostic purposes, adhering to department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards. The Senior MRI Technologist will also assist Radiologist and referring physicians as needed to perform MRI procedures. Additionally, this position requires close collaboration with radiologists, other modalities, inpatient and outpatient MRI departments, and serving as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and/or equivalent education or experience in Radiologic Technology and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Must maintain required continuing education hours necessary to renew license/certification
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Or Upon hire: National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years Experience as MRI Technologist

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years Hospital clinical experience at the level of an expert user
  • 1 year CT Experience

Responsibilities
