About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Sales Recruiter to lead recruiting efforts for our growing Wholesale Sales organization, with a primary focus on identifying and attracting high-performing Account Executives within the non-QM mortgage market. This is a highly proactive, relationship-driven recruiting role that blends talent acquisition, business development, market intelligence, and sales. The ideal candidate has an established network within wholesale mortgage, understands the competitive non-QM landscape, and knows how to identify and engage proven sales professionals who are not actively looking for a new opportunity. Success in this role will be measured not simply by the number of hires made, but by the ability to recruit productive Account Executives who build sustainable broker relationships, generate meaningful loan volume, and remain with the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recruiting, business development or talent acquisition experience within the mortgage industry
• Demonstrated success recruiting mortgage sales professionals, preferably Wholesale Account Executives
• Direct experience recruiting within the non-QM, wholesale or specialty mortgage market strongly preferred
• Established relationships or professional network within the wholesale mortgage industry strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of the mortgage sales environment and the factors that drive successful Account Executive performance
• Familiarity with non-QM products such as DSCR, bank statement, asset depletion, investor/business-purpose, ITIN, foreign national or other alternative-documentation programs preferred
• Experience evaluating or validating mortgage sales production using MMI, Modex or similar industry intelligence tools preferred
• Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates rather than relying primarily on applicants
• Strong sales mentality with demonstrated ability to develop relationships, influence decision-making, overcome objections and close candidates
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with both candidates and senior sales leaders
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with measurable recruiting and business outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple searches, markets and candidate relationships simultaneously
• High degree of initiative, persistence and competitive drive

• Candidates may come from several relevant backgrounds, including: An in-house mortgage sales recruiter with a demonstrated track record recruiting Wholesale Account Executives, A recruiter currently supporting a non-QM or specialty mortgage lender, A mortgage recruiting agency professional with an established producer network who is interested in moving in-house, A mortgage sales or business-development professional with strong industry relationships and demonstrated recruiting ability.
• While traditional recruiting experience is valuable, deep mortgage industry relationships, credibility with sales professionals, and the ability to identify and close proven producers will be especially important in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy for Wholesale Account Executives across targeted markets throughout the United States.
• Proactively identify and recruit high-performing Account Executives from non-QM, wholesale and specialty mortgage lenders.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of passive sales talent through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, industry relationships and market intelligence.
• Develop relationships with prospective candidates well before an immediate hiring need exists, creating a long-term talent pipeline of proven producers.
• Conduct targeted outreach to Account Executives and effectively communicate the company's value proposition, product offering, sales support, compensation structure and growth opportunity.
• Partner closely with Wholesale Sales leadership to understand geographic priorities, production expectations, competitive dynamics and changing talent needs.
• Evaluate candidates based on demonstrated production history, broker relationships, market presence and ability to generate sustainable new business.
• Utilize available mortgage production and market intelligence tools, such as MMI, Modex or similar platforms, to validate production and identify high-potential recruiting targets.
• Maintain an understanding of competitors' products, compensation structures, territories, leadership changes and recruiting activity.
• Serve as a market intelligence resource to Sales and Human Resources leadership regarding competitor movement, compensation trends and availability of sales talent.
• Manage candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle, from initial outreach and relationship development through interviews, offer negotiation, acceptance and onboarding.
• Partner with leadership to develop creative strategies for overcoming candidate objections and successfully closing highly sought-after sales professionals.
• Track recruiting activity, conversion rates, hires, retention and production-related outcomes to evaluate recruiting effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity within the company's applicant tracking system and other recruiting tools.
• Represent the company professionally within the wholesale mortgage community and help strengthen its reputation as an employer of choice for high-performing sales professionals.
