About The Position

Coordinates and manages the mortgage loan pipeline; collects and analyzes mortgage documentation to ensure information meets investor guidelines prior to submitting to underwriting. Trains entry level processors and provides guidance to support staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of related financial services experience
  • 1 year of closing experience or equivalent experience
  • Strong demonstrated abilities required: Customer/Member Service, Interpersonal/Team Player, Motivated/Works Independently, Analytical/Problem Solving, Organizational Skills, Detail Oriented, Verbal/Written Skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Prioritize/Multi-task
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with mortgage loan origination software

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the successful management of the loans throughout the pipeline to ensure all loans are dispositioned within 30 days or provided a Notice of Action Taken.
  • Reviews residential mortgage loans for compliance of all applicable guidelines and regulatory requirements and ensures integrity of all data and process input.
  • Reviews and analyzes the loan application and documentation to ensure the information is complete, accurate and complies with company standards, applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Submits processed application to underwriting in a timely manner to ensure commitment and rate expiration dates are met.
  • Reviews and tracks the receipt of all pertinent documentation such as credit reports, appraisal, title, flood certification, condominium compliance, verification of employment and other related information required for underwriting.
  • Reviews underwritten loan files for outstanding conditions; obtain and submit conditions to clear loan for approval.
  • Reviews approved loan files to ensure the receipt of title commitment, tax information and homeowners insurance to provide a clear to close.
  • Communicates loan status with applicant, Loan Officer and other applicable parties.
  • Reviews and monitors all suspended loans daily to ensure compliance.
  • Provides weekly reports for Management and clients.
  • Conducts pre-closing quality control reviews on random and targeted new loan selections prior to closing.
  • Collects and uploads HMDA information into the HMDA software; reviews for accuracy and distributes to clients
  • Provides guidance and training to entry level processors and support staff.
  • Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the State Financial Network.
