About The Position

Most processing jobs hand you a piece of the loan. This one hands you the whole thing. As a Mortgage Processor with us, you own each file from the moment it's submitted until the investor or credit union partner issues the "clear to close." No hand-offs mid-stream, no waiting on another department to move your file forward. You drive the loan, you clear the conditions, and in partnership with the loan originator, you get members to the closing table. We process loans for credit union members across multiple credit union partners, which means variety, complexity, and the satisfaction of helping real people get into their homes. If you're the kind of processor who thrives on ownership, can juggle a full pipeline without dropping the ball, and remains calm when closing dates get tight - we want to talk to you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
• Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan types
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply conventional, government, state, and investor loan policies and guidelines
• Strong multitasking skills and a proven ability to organize time and manage multiple priorities
• Composure and focus under tight timelines
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of TILA-RESPA as it relates to loan estimates and closing disclosures

Nice To Haves

• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Own your pipeline end-to-end: process each loan from submission through clear to close
• Ensure every file meets lender, investor, and regulatory policies and guidelines
• Maintain working knowledge of investor requirements, programs, and overlays
• Coordinate and communicate with everyone involved in the transaction - including loan originators, members, title companies, and investors
• Partner with loan originators to meet or exceed closing dates
• Review submissions for accuracy and completeness and submit files to investors
• Order required property and loan documentation: appraisals, inspections, title, flood, PMI, FHA/VA case numbers, subordination agreements, and more
• Proactively review and clear underwriting and prior-to-funding conditions
• Review title commitments and clear outstanding items
• Complete re-disclosures and changes of circumstance
