About The Position
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulations (M&S) Software Developer to support our government customer in a mission critical role related to modeling and simulations. The Senior M&S Software Developer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems) based upon documented requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen and possess a Secret level clearance
- 10+ years using Javascript
- 10+ years using Typescript
- 10+ years using React
- 10+ years using Java
- 10+ years using Spring Framework
- 10+ years experience in engineering roles with increasing responsibility
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Modeling and simulations experience

Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
- Resolves software problem reports.
- Utilizes software development and software design methodologies.
- Provides specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Analyzes user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debugs existing software and corrects defects.
- Provides recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Designs and codes new software or modifies existing software to add new features.
- Integrates existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develops simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
