Senior Mobile Developer
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to join our team at Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using native technologies and modern frameworks. These applications support upwards of 30 million active users, process billions of financial transactions annually, and facilitate the movement of trillions of dollars between individuals, merchants, service providers, and their financial institutions. You will be instrumental in transforming our mobile apps from React Native and JavaScript to a more modern infrastructure, while also maintaining and developing features in our current systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
- 4+ years’ experience developing Android applications with Kotlin and/or developing iOS applications with Swift, as well as React Native and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and design patterns.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of encryption, data protection, and mobile security standards.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of app deployment pipelines and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with analytics tools, mobile KPIs, and push notification services.
- Git version control proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience required.
- Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Individuals requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years’ experience in React Native and JavaScript or cross-platform development experience.
- Experience with localization frameworks and multi-language apps.
- Experience with app store optimization (ASO) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of advanced mobile testing frameworks.
- Experience in fintech or financial applications and payment processing systems and encryption protocols.
Responsibilities
- Transforming mobile apps (Android and iOS) from React Native and JavaScript to a more modern infrastructure.
- Maintaining and developing ongoing features in the current infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining high-quality native mobile applications using Swift and Kotlin.
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable mobile solutions with state management and architecture patterns.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, Backend, QA) in an Agile environment.
- Implementing features for financial and payment processing applications.
- Building and optimizing app performance, memory management, and battery efficiency.
- Implementing localization for multi-language support and encryption for sensitive data.
- Managing app build, deployment, push notifications, and analytics.
- Ensuring code quality through comprehensive testing and code reviews.
- Implementing security best practices and PCI compliance standards.
- Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
