About The Position

The Mission Systems Phantom Works organization has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mission Systems Crew Systems Electrical Engineer. This position will be part of a proprietary program located in Berkeley, MO. Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role includes solutions and integrations of displays, data storage solutions, helmet integration, and/or other crew systems networks solutions. The selected engineer will work in a high-performing, cross functional team primarily focused on Mission Systems Crew Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Use CAMEO/MBSE to analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Design and maintain hardware, software, and interface specifications
  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Support project management activities by providing work statements, budget, schedule, and other required inputs, and by reporting project status
  • Interface with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels within the organization
  • Complete trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict components, interconnects, and system performance, and to optimize design
  • Research specific technology advances for potential application implementation
