About The Position

The Senior Integrator will provide systems integration and systems administration support for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and various high-level projects across the Department of Transportation (DOT) Common Operating Environment (COE). The Windows Server Team is responsible for Windows servers, Active Directory, remote desktop services, OS vulnerability remediation, Windows Server and workstation patching, hypervisor (VMware, HyperV) management, provisioning servers (on-prem, AWS GovCloud, AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Google), design and deploying HA/DR capabilities, and supporting DOT’s field site reduction plans / migration to Cloud. This team also supports and manages Keyfactor/CA, MS Entra, KiteWorks, BeyondTrust, Quest Password Manager, Delinea Privilege Manager, Varonis, and multiple technologies. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise from responding to OCIO Initiatives and requirements to preventing service degradations and outages, supporting service restoration during outages. This position will provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems across the enterprise. The Senior Integrator will be responsible for resolving and completing assigned tasks and change requests and will act as an escalation for support issues. The candidate will also be responsible for applying new solutions through research and collaboration with team members and will be advising on course of actions for new application initiatives.

  • Senior Microsoft Architect & System Administrator expertise.
  • Systems integration and systems administration support experience.
  • Experience with Windows servers, Active Directory, remote desktop services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems integration and systems administration support for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and various high-level projects.
  • Manage Windows servers, Active Directory, remote desktop services, OS vulnerability remediation, and Windows Server and workstation patching.
  • Manage hypervisor (VMware, HyperV) environments.
  • Provision servers across various platforms including on-prem, AWS GovCloud, AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Google.
  • Design and deploy High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities.
  • Support DOT’s field site reduction plans and migration to Cloud.
  • Support and manage technologies such as Keyfactor/CA, MS Entra, KiteWorks, BeyondTrust, Quest Password Manager, Delinea Privilege Manager, and Varonis.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise for OCIO Initiatives and requirements.
  • Prevent service degradations and outages, and support service restoration during outages.
  • Provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems.
  • Resolve and complete assigned tasks and change requests.
  • Act as an escalation point for support issues.
  • Apply new solutions through research and collaboration.
  • Advise on courses of action for new application initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery through automation and scripting.
  • Oversee daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Serve as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application, or system problems.
  • Perform provisioning, patching, and day-to-day management of the installed server environment including vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support preventing service degradations and restoring service during outages.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Windows systems and tools.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Provide support for new enterprise systems and in support of engineering solutions to address existing issues.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
