About The Position

As a Senior Methods Engineer in Seymour, IN, you will be responsible for developing and designing automotive lighting assembly equipment, preparing and implementing production processes for automotive lighting products, and mentoring junior engineers. This role requires a strong focus on cost minimization, budget adherence, timeline achievement, and quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely-related.
- 4 years of experience in a Methods or Process Engineering role for automotive lighting.
- Designing automated assembly equipment.
- Developing engineering processes for automotive lighting.
- Setting up and tuning photometric aiming, plastic welding technologies, and gluing equipment.
- Developing equipment from specifications to industrialization and validation.
- Using CAD and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design automotive lighting assembly equipment.
- Prepare and implement production processes for automotive lighting products (new and modified).
- Minimize costs and adhere to budgets.
- Ensure timeframes are achieved.
- Attain quality objectives.
- Mentor junior Methods Engineers.
