About The Position

Analyze and optimize aluminum production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in casting, rolling, or heat treatment operations. Develop and improve alloy compositions to meet specific mechanical and chemical property requirements for various industrial applications. Monitor metallurgical quality and standards through materials testing (e.g., tensile, hardness, microstructure analysis) and failure investigations. Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality control, and R&D teams on metallurgical issues and process improvements. Investigate product failures and non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions. Implement and oversee heat treatment processes such as annealing, aging, or quenching, ensuring proper metallurgical structure and performance. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address material specifications, certifications, and metallurgical concerns. Prepare technical documentation and reports, including process qualifications, metallurgical reviews, and test results. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ASTM, ISO, or customer-specific requirements. Support sustainability and recycling initiatives, improving processes for scrap handling and metal recovery.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Metallurgical engineering or Material Science required.
  • 60 months of experience in any metallurgical engineering occupation in the aluminum rolled production industry.
