About The Position

FCU Community Financial is looking for a team-oriented individual to assist our members in achieving their financial goals as a permanent, full-time Senior Member Service Representative at our Bowser Branch. This is an advisory position responsible for the recommendation and implementation of account, deposit, and loan products offered by First Credit Union. Through building relationships and analyzing member needs, a Senior Member Service Representative identifies and recommends the appropriate products or services with the goal of improving our members’ overall financial well-being.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma.
  • Three years’ experience in the financial, sales or service industry.
  • Education or equivalent experience with Products & Services, Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning, Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending, and Business Financial Statement Analysis.
  • Superior knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Demonstrated accountability for both branch-assigned growth goals, targets and major initiatives.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve, with strong organizational skills and emphasis on time management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform under pressure, and demonstrate great initiative, resourcefulness and flexibility.
  • Ability to develop a correlation between personal actions, service execution, and member expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service excellence and foster member relationships by maintaining a high level of knowledge of First Credit Union products and services, including continuous development to be aware of changes in the industry.
  • Exhibit a high commitment to member-client relationships by promoting the concept of relationship building, cross-selling all credit union products and services, and referring members to other departments when appropriate.
  • Analyze member needs and build relationships through member onboarding.
  • Respond to member requests and inquiries and deal with member issues with minimal assistance.
  • Contribute to a high level of service by presenting a positive, pleasant, public image, and providing fast, efficient, personalized service.
  • Act as a resource and example to other employees in regard to knowledge, experience, and superior member service.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by working efficiently, professionally and in a friendly manner.
  • Perform a variety of duties relating to the promotion, sale and administration of account, deposit, and loan products and services offered by First Credit Union.
  • Promote and provide advice on deposit products and services, including registered and non-registered accounts, with the ability to discuss investment options such as term deposits.
  • Promote and process card products, including credit and debit cards as well as all electronic services.
  • Provide guidance and administration on account options and membership, including estate administration.
  • Complete loan applications, including interviews, and collection of documentation.
  • Use the Financial Blueprint to support the overall financial well-being of our members.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to improve growth and the development of loan portfolios and pursue new business by establishing and maintaining relationships in the community.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed for loan documentation, reviews and renewals.
  • Document and process as required.
