About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building the Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), which provides a managed Kubernetes experience for internal and external customers. The team is responsible for a 24x7 service at scale and has a large roadmap of features to enable new customer scenarios. This role involves designing and building innovative new systems from the ground up, focusing on distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. The ideal candidate will be a proficient programmer with broad knowledge in areas such as networking, storage, internet protocols, and operating systems. The team develops distributed, highly available systems for building, updating, and deploying Kubernetes, along with automation and tooling for testing and deployments.

Requirements

Expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services.
Proficient programmer with large breadth of knowledge and experience including areas such as networking, storage, internet protocols and operating systems.

Responsibilities

Design and build innovative new systems from the ground up.
Develop distributed, highly available systems for building, updating, and deploying Kubernetes.
