About The Position
We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Device Assembler to support the assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation of implantable and other advanced medical device components in a regulated laboratory and cleanroom environment. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys precision work, solving challenges, collaborating with engineers, and helping bring innovative medical technologies from development into production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 7+ years of precision manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or another regulated industry
- Expert-level soldering, assembly, and rework skills
- Experience performing assembly and inspection under microscopes
- Experience handling ESD-sensitive components
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
Nice To Haves
- Technical certification or associate degree preferred
- IPC certification
- Experience with welding, brazing, potting, encapsulation, or specialty adhesives
- Experience supporting process validation activities
- Experience participating in NCR investigations and corrective actions
- Experience training or mentoring others
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
Responsibilities
- Perform complex assembly, soldering, rework, welding, bonding, and inspection activities on medical device components
- Build prototype, development, verification, validation, clinical, and production devices
- Operate testing equipment and perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections
- Troubleshoot product and process issues using technical documentation and approved procedures
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications
- Complete manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and Device History Records (DHRs)
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide design-for-manufacturing feedback
- Mentor and cross-train team members while promoting quality and compliance standards
- Support equipment readiness, calibration activities, inventory coordination, and laboratory organization
