About The Position

Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitors and communicates changes in patient condition, and documents patient care. Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas and organizes workflow of clinical staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in Medical Assistant required or Certificate from a college in Medical Assistant in lieu of Associate's.
  • Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
