Senior Mechanical Thermal Analysis Engineer - Research

ASML•Wilton, CT
•$118,875 - $176,000•Onsite

About The Position

As a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer, you will apply advanced analytical and numerical methods to predict and optimize complex opto-mechanical and electromechanical systems throughout feasibility, design, integration, qualification, and troubleshooting. You will develop models at appropriate levels of fidelity, evaluate technical risks, correlate predictions with test data, and translate complex results into clear engineering recommendations. This is a senior technical role requiring analytical rigor, sound judgment, autonomy, and collaborative leadership. You will build trusted relationships across disciplines, influence decisions through expertise and credibility, mentor others, and advance ASML’s analysis methods and capabilities. The position is located on-site in Wilton, Connecticut, and requires onsite presence for collaboration, testing, training, meetings, and other work-related events. Domestic or international travel may be required, depending on business needs, up to approximately 10%. The role may involve working in cleanrooms or laboratories. Cleanroom work requires wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves, and working under ISO 9000/14000 standards. The general office environment is moderate in temperature and noise; cleanrooms have moderate temperatures and moderate to high noise levels. Work may involve exposure to lasers, ladders, platforms, chemicals, strong magnetic fields, high voltages, and currents. The current base annual salary range is $118,875–$176,000. The posting also lists a separate $0–$0 range under additional responsibilities. Individual pay depends on factors including job-related skills, education, experience, certifications, abilities, and pay relative to other team members. ASML offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; participation in the company 401(k) plan; eight hours of vacation leave per month; and 13 paid holidays per calendar year. The position provides career-development opportunities in a growing high-technology organization. Candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under U.S. Export Administration Regulations before beginning work.
