About The Position

An established and highly respected construction organization is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the growth of its mechanical construction division. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced mechanical construction leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, developing client relationships, and helping shape the future of a growing business. This role goes well beyond traditional project management. The successful candidate will help establish strategic business processes, mentor project teams, strengthen client relationships, and play a key role in expanding the company's mechanical operations. There is a clear path into a Director-level leadership position for the right individual.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Approximately 5-15 years of mechanical construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience leading project financials, schedules, subcontract management, and client communications.
  • Ability to travel periodically to Southeast Alaska (primarily Juneau and Ketchikan).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supervising project teams preferred.
  • Candidates with experience from larger regional mechanical contractors are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop strategic project execution processes and operational best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting future business development.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and change management.
  • Collaborate with field leadership, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and owners.
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the mechanical division.
  • Help position the business for future growth while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence on every project.
