The Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer provides technical leadership and quality oversight of work processes and execution for maintaining the health and reliable performance of pressure equipment and associated infrastructure. This role requires a deep expertise in inspection and integrity practices, and risk management, and analysis of key performance indicators to maintain and improve the safety, efficiency, and longevity pressure equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Corrosion Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with Mechanical/Asset Integrity in a Petrochemical facility
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer and in good standing with APEGA

Nice To Haves

  • API 510 Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee effectiveness of implementation of advanced asset integrity management programs for piping, pressure vessels, boilers and infrastructure
  • Provide guidance on complex non-destructive testing (NDT) and monitoring activities to detect and assess corrosion, cracking and other degradation
  • Lead detailed risk assessments and failure mode analysis for significant safety and reliability events to identify threats and develop robust mitigation strategies
  • Analyze and interpret complex inspection and monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies, and critical areas requiring intervention
  • Consult on regulatory implications of integrity related issues with broad impact
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to on integrity-related issues, including complex incident investigations, with wide-ranging business impact
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through technical leadership and contribution to long range.
  • Develop and update company technical guidance documents based on learnings from incidents and industry engagement.
  • Identification and focused mentoring of future experts.
