About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS II) at Arnold Air Force Base in Manchester, Tennessee. The position is part of an integrated team supporting United States Air Force test operations and sustainment efforts. The successful candidate will execute process systems designs, independently perform complex design and analysis, lead small to medium-sized teams, check design packages, lead design reviews, and mentor or oversee early-career engineers. The role may also lead teams of typically more than five members on complex analysis and design work and serve as the responsible engineer and point of contact for design engineering support to a complex, multi-year project. The engineer develops designs and supporting analyses for mass- and heat-transfer systems and related components, systems, and facilities. Work includes producing schematics and layout drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, procurement packages, and complete design packages in coordination with drafters, checkers, and project teams. The engineer evaluates designs and analysis results against applicable codes and standards, supports maintenance and repair of existing systems, assesses existing hardware for safety and improvement opportunities, and coordinates fabrication and installation with system engineers, craft supervisors, and work planners. The role also provides design engineering coaching and guidance to the team.
