$96,000 - $179,000Onsite

About The Position

Within the Mechanical Engineering department at Roche R&D Near Patient Care, you will help develop blood glucose meters, continuous glucose monitoring systems, and related application systems (e.g., test stands) for series production—all in accordance with relevant standards and regulatory guidelines. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral member of an agile development team, directly contributing to the creation of high-quality, robust medical devices. You will actively contribute to taking innovative products from the initial idea to series production readiness and successfully launching them on the market. In the agile project team, you will work closely with the other colleagues and will commit to successfully complete the project together as a team. You are responsible for the development of the mechanical components. You enjoy getting involved in complex mechanical systems and understanding the interactions with other components. To this end, you will perform analyses on complex mechanical components and assemblies, create test plans with DoE, perform the tests, analyze and interpret the test results, and summarize all of this in technical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. You can provide demonstrated knowledge of parametric mechanical CAD design and FEM simulation independently across several projects; through this work, you can incorporate changes resulting from your investigations directly into the product design. You will work closely with other departments and project teams, including operations and manufacturing. You will build the interface between the development and production teams, which is responsible for the development, construction and implementation of the production line. You will collaborate with external partners such as injection molding suppliers is an additional aspect of your daily tasks.
