About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a lead position in the design, development and integration of shipboard mechanical systems and hardware for U.S. Navy platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a team environment and can guide complex mechanical solutions from concept through fleet deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciple
- 8 years of mechanical design experience with at least 3 years supporting US Navy hardware
- Strong SolidWorks CAD Design skills
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Strong experience in sheet metal, machining, and additive manufacturing techniques
- Strong experience with design for assembly and production processes
Responsibilities
- Develop shipboard mechanical hardware designs including enclosures, ruggedized COTS solutions, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Develop 3D models and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate mechanical interfaces between engineering and manufacturing teams
