About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the semiconductor domain. The role requires a BSME degree, with an MS preferred, and at least 1 year of CAD experience using Creo. Experience with PLM systems is also necessary. The engineer will lead mechanical design for ion implanter subsystems, conduct design reviews, apply DfX principles, and perform various analyses including GD&T and tolerance stack-up. Responsibilities include CAD work, BOM management, developing precision motion mechanisms, performing FEA/CFD, driving manufacturability improvements, defining and executing test requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Compliance with SEMI S2/S8 and internal safety standards is essential.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of experience in the semiconductor domain.
  • BSME (Mechanical Engineering) minimum; MS preferred.
  • At least 1 year of CAD experience with Creo.
  • Experience with PLM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design for ion implanter subsystems (process chambers, beamline structures, wafer handling, vacuum chambers).
  • Conduct design reviews, apply DfX principles, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
  • Perform hand calculations and FEA (CREO Simulate, ANSYS) for structural integrity and reliability.
  • Execute detailed CAD work, engineering drawings, and BOM management (Creo, AutoCAD, Windchill, Glovia).
  • Develop precision motion mechanisms and complex electromechanical assemblies.
  • Perform FEA/CFD (thermal, structural, modal) and validate designs via prototyping.
  • Drive manufacturability improvements, reliability growth, and cost reduction.
  • Define test requirements, coordinate execution, and document engineering test plans.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (systems, electrical, controls, physics, manufacturing, field service).
  • Ensure compliance with SEMI S2/S8 and internal safety standards.
