BETA TechnologiesSouth Burlington, VT
$125,000 - $150,000

About The Position

At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture. We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering team. This role is part of a cross-functional team and will be responsible for leading the development of new manufacturing processes from initial conceptualization through low-rate initial production. It requires that the team member develop an intimate understanding of the aircraft system requirements to effectively develop and implement materials and/or processes that solve for the goals of the business. The ideal candidate is someone with deep experience in one or more manufacturing technologies, including, but not limited to, filament winding, automated fiber placement, resin transfer molding, compression molding, injection molding, resin casting, metal additive manufacturing, forging, metal casting, stamping, welding, conventional spray coating, thermal spray coating, and electroplating. The candidate should have demonstrated competence in design for manufacturing. As a member of the NPI team, you will collaborate with a broad range of team members to deliver new technologies that will enable Beta to achieve profitable full rate production. This position offers the possibility to learn something new every day and contribute to the future of aviation.
