This role involves designing and analyzing electro-opto-mechanical components, modules, or systems and packaging. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will perform system modeling and analysis, including stress/strain, tolerance stack-up, kinematic analysis/synthesis, thermal analysis, and FEA. Key responsibilities include generating mechanical system-level requirements, overseeing sub-system and component-level requirements, conducting feasibility studies and testing, and managing projects from detailed design to prototype fabrication. The engineer will also generate and oversee design documentation for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), work independently on complex projects, and serve as a technical lead on cross-functional product development teams. A significant part of the role is participating in developing and managing product and technology development roadmaps for hardware.
