About The Position

Marotta Controls seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development in the Power / Control Actuation Systems (PAS) / Space / Marine Lines of Business. The applicant should have a background in Mechanical Test Equipment Engineering and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying Special & Peculiar Automated Test Equipment. Prime applications for the ATE will include Power Distribution, Motor Controls, and Actuation Device interfaces. Test Equipment Documentation and Drafting will also require high competencies in Automated Test Equipment practices and user interfaces. A strong emphasis on team cohesion is necessary. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in ME
  • 5+ years of formal ATE mechanical development experience, along with a high level of expertise in the ATE specialty domain.
  • Demonstrated ability in all mechanical aspects of Test Station, ITA, Cable and Interconnect Diagram design, Requirements review, and TE Validation.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Design and Development of Test Stations, ITAs, Interface Adaptors, Cables, Fixtures, and Load Rigs in support of manual and automated Test Equipment for DVT testing, Qual testing, ATP testing, and ESS testing.
  • TE Rack Assembly Drawings, Interconnect Diagrams, Parts Lists, Design Review preparation (TE SRR, TE CDR, TE Validation), Configuration Management, Estimating, and Technical Presentation package assembly.
  • Work closely with the new product development team for the Prime Mission Equipment from Development and Rapid Prototyping, through Production.
