About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems Hypersonic Weapons Division is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering TDP Lead to join their team to support the Army and Navy in delivering top-tier capability to the warfighter by supporting the Thermal Protection System (TPS) program of the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB). The CHGB is the Army’s #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires and will counter and gain a lead on our adversaries' technological advances in this field. The selected candidate will oversee the execution of the Technical Data Package (TDP) for the TPS program. As the TDP Lead, you will review and ensure a technically sound package is produced and delivered to the customer and manufacturing, as well as manage the project by defining work scope, task descriptions, and manpower requirements to meet program objectives and commitments. You will work closely with the design agent and government customer, as well as the production engineering team to drive changes to the TDP that will help improve the design, manufacturability, and cost of the CHGB. Leidos’ Defense Systems Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. The team is solving the world's toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions.
