  • Experience in mission-critical infrastructure, power distribution, data center, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems and engineering revision control processes.
  • Experience managing BOM structures within ERP environments.
  • Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of mechanical enclosures, assemblies, and supporting hardware for Switchboards, PDUs, RPPs, and related power distribution equipment.
  • Own mechanical design activities from concept generation through production release and ongoing product support.
  • Create and review detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) using SolidWorks.
  • Design sheet metal components and assemblies for manufacturability, cost, quality, and assembly efficiency (DFM/DFA).
  • Partner with Electrical Engineering to integrate electrical components, cabling systems, thermal considerations, and mounting features into product solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership during design reviews, prototype evaluations, and validation testing.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing partners to resolve design and manufacturability challenges.
  • Lead root cause investigations related to design, product quality, field issues, or manufacturing concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive engineering change management and ensure design documentation remains accurate and compliant.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, design best practices, and product design guidelines.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and engineering technicians.
  • Support new product introduction activities, including prototype builds, pilot production, and manufacturing launch readiness.
