About The Position

The Senior Material Planner will execute and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities within SAP. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production schedules to ensure material availability. The planner will analyze SAP MRP outputs and take appropriate actions to address shortages, excess inventory, and supply disruptions. Key responsibilities include coordinating with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and suppliers to maintain on-time material flow, maintaining accurate material master data, planning parameters, and inventory records in SAP, and tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service levels, and supplier performance. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization and supply chain efficiency. Additionally, the Senior Material Planner will provide flexible support to the Spare Parts organization, assisting with part-number identification, cross-referencing, and identifying replacement, superseded, and alternative parts. This includes reviewing inventory levels to identify excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and critical spare parts.

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP ERP, including MRP and inventory management functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain planning processes.
  • Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, and Spare Parts organizations.
  • Self-starter with a customer service focus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus (Business Intelligence is desired)
