Under limited direction, this role provides technical guidance while performing supply chain management activities necessary to maintain accurate part inventories at optimum stock levels, ensuring the business can meet global demands. The position requires superior technical skill in planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management, making recommendations for efficiency improvements and applying sound judgment and specialized knowledge to meet performance metrics. The analyst will anticipate emerging trends, understand their business impact, and recommend risk mitigation strategies. They will analyze key performance indicators to ensure supply chain service level goals are achieved and maintained, and understand the financial and logistical impact of inventory investment decisions. Lifecycle planning for rotable and perishable inventory items, preparing recommendations for changes to tactical plans, and assisting in determining the disposition of excess inventory are also key functions. Collaboration with other functional areas to address issues related to shortages, distribution, customer provisioning, service center demand, and sales is expected, along with supporting change management objectives and generating stakeholder confidence.
