Plans, prepares, issues and coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet project demand. Plans internal production as needed to support deliveries to both internal and external customers. Responsible for placement of material requisitions, material transfers and monthly financial analysis. Program Control Account Manager for material spend. Advises team on the status of material availability, work in progress, and potential delivery problems to ensure that materials, equipment, and services are provided as needed. Confirms material supply and prepares work orders for assemblies based on the project demand. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc. to achieve project timelines. Work as part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT) as required to support program deliverable while managing and communicating schedule changes if/when they arise. Provide part planning and inventory control parameters to the control system for both buy and make items. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with project schedules. Determine shortages and initiate actions to correct these deficiencies. Contribute suggestions toward the continuous improvement of systems and procedures.
