About The Position

As the Senior Marketing Manager for the BWS Brand, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of brand direction, design, and its consistent application across the business. Your primary objective is to ensure the BWS brand effectively embodies the Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and overall customer strategy. This pivotal role involves maintaining brand consistency across all channels and campaigns to drive business results. The position requires strong brand discipline and a keen eye for design principles to engage customers, satisfy partners, and motivate the internal team. This role is part of the BWS Marketing leadership team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing small-medium team of marketing professionals
  • Minimum 8+ years working in dedicated Marketing environment, ideally with a strong customer focus
  • Previous experience in brand development within retail sector
  • Ability to interpret customer data that can be translated into compelling retail plans
  • Proven experience in horizontal influencing for change
  • Ability to manage complex and ambiguous projects

  • Tertiary qualifications in business and/or marketing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive BWS brand accountability, increasing top-of-mind awareness, market share, preference, and advocacy by embedding brand principles and campaigns.
  • Bringing the BWS CVP to life, standardise Brand Architecture, Creative, Communications, and Voice of BWS across all channels, upskilling internal and external partners.
  • Act as the customer voice, partnering with key stakeholders to drive acquisition and advocacy of key customer cohorts by being the customer voice of change & evolving Brand touchpoints to meet emerging needs.
  • Grow, lead, inspire, and nurture your team (one direct report).
  • Fully leverage key sponsorships, including AFL, for the BWS brand.
  • Role model matrix ways of working and actively drive marketing team culture.
  • Lead your team and partner with Trade & Planning, Merchandise & Operations to achieve sales and GP targets, balancing trend leadership and value.
  • Influence year-on-year improvements for fewer, bigger, better, customer-centric initiatives.
  • As a BWS Marketing Leadership team member, collaborate across the function and Operations to improve ways of working, cadence, and frameworks for efficiency, collaboration, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Monitor trends with the Customer & Category insights team, identifying and activating insights to improve customer experiences and brand opportunities.
  • Manage the Brand A&P budget, maximising ROI and mitigating unnecessary costs.
