About The Position

The American Association for Justice (AAJ®) works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to seek justice when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others - even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations. AAJ is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager for its Marketing department. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for production of marketing strategy and collateral as well as project management and brand ownership for assigned portfolio and related programs. The Senior Marketing Manager is tasked with developing and implementing a strategy to increase program participation, engagement, and fundraising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience.
  • Experience in email marketing, digital marketing, direct mail, and print advertising.
  • Expertise using an AMS system such as NetForum and CMS such as HubSpot and Sitecore.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with project management software (such as Monday.com, Asana, Teams).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capacity to thrive in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to issues important to AAJ and its members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a membership association, political organization, or legal organization preferred.
  • Experience with fundraising or political action committees preferred.
  • Creative experience with visual design software and video-editing software (such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans for assigned portfolio.
  • Designs marketing campaigns to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Campaigns include a mix of email, web promotion, direct mail, print, onsite experience, and social media.
  • Writes copy for all marketing collateral.
  • Selects campaign audiences based on campaign goals, historical engagement, and demographic trends.
  • Pulls lists and routes emails for approval.
  • Manages production schedules for all projects in portfolio.
  • Advises on creative direction and branding for promotional collateral.
  • Creates and monitors automated campaigns for AAJ programs.
  • Builds and updates webpages as needed.
  • Advises on budget considerations for promotions.
  • Works with key stakeholders in other departments to cross-promote AAJ membership, products, and services.
  • Works with the Marketing team to track the effectiveness of marketing promotions, provides recommendations, and adjusts where needed.
  • Analyzes ongoing marketing efforts and reports on program status (tracking program webpage, key deadlines, counts, program discounts) to stakeholders.
  • Gathers and analyzes information to identify new audiences.
  • Tracks expenses and revenue for owned marketing campaigns.
