Senior Marketing Manager - Narrative and Launch

EnCharge AI
•$135,000 - $165,000•Remote

About The Position

This role is a blend of strategy and execution, with a strong emphasis on hands-on work. It is crucial for shaping how a genuinely hard technology is understood by various audiences, including developers, device manufacturers, industry analysts, and the broader tech community. The Marketing team is small, and this role reports to the SVP of Marketing. The primary responsibilities include driving product launches, playing a key role in developing the brand, corporate, and product narrative, and contributing to all aspects of a small marketing team's operations. The company, EnCharge AI, is focused on analog in-memory computing, offering a significant performance-per-watt advantage over traditional chip technologies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on owning positioning, messaging, and launches.
  • Proficiency in positioning and messaging architecture, audience definition, launch mechanics, enablement, competitive practice, and brand expression.
  • Ability to quickly become fluent in hard technology and communicate it effectively to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical readers.
  • Strong judgment regarding public claims, prioritizing precision over impressiveness.
  • Excellent writing skills for complex topics, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build processes where none existed, without waiting for explicit direction.
  • Experience executing marketing tasks directly, not just directing others (e.g., writing content, managing events, briefing freelancers).
  • Experience with creative development, either creating work directly or collaborating closely with creative teams and agencies.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and understanding of hardware development timelines.
  • Ability to research and provide data-backed insights for competitive analysis and positioning.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor, hardware, or AI infrastructure marketing experience.
  • Experience with edge or client AI inference, or the OEM and design-win motion around it.
  • Experience collaborating closely with researchers or engineers to make their work understandable.
  • Both agency and in-house marketing experience, with a clear understanding of the strengths of each.
  • Semiconductor or AI infrastructure experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product launches, including planning, sequencing, developing proof points, and ensuring readiness of all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate digital marketing, PR, and events into a coherent multichannel launch strategy.
  • Develop and refine the company's narrative, explaining the technology to relevant audiences in a way that resonates with a skeptical industry.
  • Conduct research, build, test, and provide evidence to support and evolve the narrative across various platforms like the website, presentations, briefs, and events.
  • Execute marketing tasks including content creation, social media management, creative development, and event support.
  • Coordinate vendors and freelancers to extend the team's capabilities and ensure high-quality output.
  • Translate complex technology into accessible explainers, technical briefs, launch narratives, and customer stories by working closely with engineers and chip architects.
  • Ensure accuracy and precision in all public communications, particularly regarding performance claims.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes, including incumbents and challengers, to inform positioning strategies.
  • Develop enablement materials for business development and technical sales teams that effectively address customer questions.
  • Contribute to brand expression, ensuring a consistent and cohesive story across all touchpoints.
  • Support analyst and press relations, manage internal communications, and contribute to overall marketing strategy.
  • Build marketing function infrastructure, including frameworks, launch processes, enablement systems, and competitive analysis cadences.
