About The Position

The Senior Marketing Director, Qutenza will lead the brand strategy and execution for Qutenza, the only FDA-approved topical treatment for painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (pDPN) of the feet, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints, and driving initiatives to enhance brand awareness, and drive adoption, and loyalty. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including access, sales, patient services, and medical affairs to deliver impactful promotional campaigns that align with the company’s mission and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or related roles
  • Proven track record of managing successful brand marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and brand development
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate organizational complexity and ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that strengthens brand equity and awareness.
  • Define and communicate Qutenza’s unique value proposition and core messaging.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  • Guide the ideation, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns (both patient and HCP) that drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee creative development, ensuring all marketing materials (personal and nonpersonal/omnichannel) align with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with media partners, agencies, and vendors to ensure high-quality output and effective campaign performance.
  • Partner with Sales Training to develop meeting content and ensure the field team is equipped to confidently utilize marketing resources and deliver consistent brand messaging.
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence (COMEX) to identify business questions, design and oversee primary market research to understand market trends, customer attitudes and behaviors, and competitive activity, leveraging insights to inform brand strategy and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage insights and data to refine brand strategies and optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Develop the brand marketing budget strategy and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor brand financial performance, including forecast updates, actuals, accruals, variance reporting, and resource allocation, identifying opportunities to optimize investments based on evolving business priorities.
  • In collaboration with COMEX, oversee the development of a Marketing dashboard to monitor and report on KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Present marketing results and strategy updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Oversee annual asset plan, ensuring a cohesive narrative that integrates all commercial and medical activities and investments.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and accountable culture.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to develop direct reports.
  • Ensure performance-based management through consistent direction, coaching, and commitment to an environment focused on continuous learning and development that maximizes each team members’ potential.
  • Create a high-performance work environment with accountability at all levels in the organization while fostering empowerment, involvement, and collaboration.
