Senior Marketing Designer

Datalily•Framingham, MA
•$120,000 - $130,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Marketing Designer turns complex research and data into clear, compelling visual stories for our clients. You'll design long-form content, including original research reports (both web-based and PDF), and the data-rich assets to help support each campaign. We're looking for a strong visual designer with the curiosity bug who cares as much about clarity as aesthetics, knows how to make complex data engaging and easy to understand, and is always exploring new ways of designing and working more efficiently. Because we’re an agency, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple B2B and SaaS brands, each with its own visual identity, audience, and voice. As part of a fast-growing startup, you'll shape how we approach data storytelling, and help us build and grow Flowerplot, our own data visualization platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic, brand, or marketing design, with strong typography, layout, and information hierarchy skills
  • A portfolio showing in-depth long-form, data-rich work such as research reports, ebooks, with charts, graphs, and data visualizations
  • Experience working within established brand guidelines, and moving confidently between multiple brands
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Figma, with polished, well-organized production files
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, feedback rounds, and stakeholders
  • Actively uses AI tools to work faster and smarter, and is comfortable experimenting with AI-assisted development/vibe coding to prototype interactive experiences. You don't need to be a developer, but you should enjoy figuring out how to build things. (Secret code: welovedata)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly articulate the reasoning behind design decisions + you’re proactive in sharing work and open to feedback.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency, studio, or other multi-client experience
  • Experience designing for B2B, SaaS, or technology brands
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital content and data visualizations
  • Experience with Framer or similar web builders
  • Experience designing product UI or working within a component-based design system

Responsibilities

  • Long-form and editorial design: Design research reports and other data-rich marketing content, making thoughtful decisions about typography, layout, imagery, and pacing so each piece feels cohesive from beginning to end.

  • Web and interactive report design: Design web-based reports and interactive experiences that go beyond static pages, including micro-apps and interactive tools. Use AI-assisted development/vibe coding to prototype and bring ideas to life.
  • Brand adaptation: Work across multiple client brand systems, adapting your approach to each identity, audience, and voice.
  • Creative collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, researchers, strategists, developers, and clients from initial concept through final handoff, translating content and strategic goals into strong visual solutions.
  • Supporting assets and delivery: Extend flagship reports into social graphics, sales one-pagers, presentations, and landing-page visuals, and prepare polished final files for web, digital, and print.
  • Project management: Manage multiple client projects and competing deadlines at once while maintaining strong attention to detail, organization, and quality.
  • Feedback and iteration: Participate in internal and client reviews, clearly explain design decisions, and thoughtfully incorporate feedback while maintaining the overall creative direction of the work.
