Senior Manufacturing Technician - 1st Shift - Pay Starting at $28.01/hr.
About The Position
The Senior Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production/welding fixtures to ensure dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and reliable operation. This role involves fabricating, modifying, and improving welding fixtures, as well as designing, building, and maintaining storage racks, carts, and workstations to enhance material flow, organization, and ergonomics. The technician will operate manual machine tools, perform precision machining, and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models. Welding (MIG/TIG) and fabricating steel and aluminum components are also key aspects of the role, along with inspecting fixtures and fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and functionality. Collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations to identify improvements and maintaining an organized, safe fabrication and machine shop are essential.
Requirements

- Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain production/welding fixtures to ensure dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and reliable operation.
- Fabricate, modify, and improve welding fixtures to support manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, build, and maintain stationary and mobile storage racks, carts, and workstations to improve material flow, organization, and ergonomics.
- Operate manual machine tools such as mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and saws to manufacture and repair components.
- Perform precision machining of fixture components, replacement parts, and custom tooling.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
- Weld (MIG/TIG) and fabricate steel and aluminum components for manufacturing support projects.
- Inspect fixtures and fabricated components to verify dimensional accuracy and functionality.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations to identify fixture improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Maintain an organized fabrication and machine shop while following all safety requirements.
