The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace through active and visible leadership. Implementing and ensuring use of Lean Management Systems to drive continual improvements in safety, employee engagement, productivity, and quality. Collaborating with cross functional partners such as engineering, quality, production planning and plant engineering, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Leading and continually developing self and others at multiple levels of the organization through supervision, providing recognition, policy administration, continuous coaching for improvement and participation in hiring processes. Representing plant leadership team through driving initiatives across the plant, including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call and serving as a primary plant management representative. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Eight (8) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory and/or management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Ten (10) years’ manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Five (5) years’ previous supervisory and/or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing Manufacturing Supervisors as well as peers and ability to influence higher levels of the organization.
