•$100,000 - $125,000•Onsite

About The Position

Tactical Revolution, LLC is seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader to lead its production team and manage supply chain activities, inventory control, manufacturing documentation, production scheduling, and quality control. The role combines direct employee management with manufacturing and industrial engineering process improvement. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer supervises production employees while also performing technical work, including developing bills of materials and work instructions, converting issued SolidWorks models into technical drawings, and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) expertise. This is a working-manager position with responsibility for supervision, supplier coordination, inventory management, and technical production work. It manufactures from issued designs and improves how work is performed; it is not a product design or research and development position. The role has no subordinate engineers. The position must be performed full-time on-site in Jupiter, Florida, and is restricted to U.S. persons due to access to export-controlled technology.

Requirements

  • Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience and demonstrated capability may be considered.
  • Direct production-supervision experience, including assigning work, managing schedules, training employees, and addressing performance issues; project coordination alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Current SolidWorks proficiency, including the ability to create technical and shop drawings from issued models.
  • Strong mastery of GD&T, including interpreting requirements and understanding their implications for manufacturing and inspection.
  • Experience creating and maintaining BOMs, work instructions, manufacturing records, and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or technically focused production supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supply-chain purchases and supplier issues, including quotation review, ordering, receiving, discrepancies, acceptance, rejection, and returns.
  • Inventory-control experience covering transactions, physical counts, reconciliation, and movement through production stages.
  • Experience conducting inspections and handling nonconforming material, rework, and acceptance decisions within standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements, maintain accurate records, communicate risks early, and follow commitments through completion.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Jupiter, Florida.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; the role is restricted to U.S. persons as defined in the posting due to access to export-controlled technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with textiles, industrial sewing operations, tactical equipment, protective products, or mixed-material assembly.
  • Experience in the ballistic resistance and armor industry.
  • Former military service.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the manufacturing team by assigning daily tasks, setting priorities, coordinating schedules, and maintaining expectations for productivity, quality, and deadlines.
  • Develop daily and weekly production schedules based on staffing, material availability, equipment capabilities, and output commitments.
  • Ensure equipment, materials, workspaces, and manufacturing documentation are ready for production; communicate status, challenges, and proposed solutions to company leadership.
  • Manage suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, including obtaining and evaluating quotations, placing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring compliance with specifications, pricing, and schedules.
  • Inspect incoming materials and components, verify specifications, document discrepancies, and coordinate rejections, disputes, returns, replacements, and corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain inventory tracking for raw materials, work in process, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished goods; manage receiving, storage, issuing, reconciliation, and replenishment.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials, fabrication work orders, work instructions, assembly instructions, shipping and handling procedures, and standardized production procedures.
  • Convert issued SolidWorks models into accurate manufacturing and shop drawings, apply GD&T expertise, and maintain revision control.
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality-control inspections; manage nonconforming products, rejections, rework, corrective actions, and acceptance procedures.
  • Coordinate production scheduling, first-article inspections, prototype manufacturing, and subcontracted activities.
  • Evaluate workflows, labor efficiency, material utilization, equipment capabilities, and production bottlenecks; implement improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and maintain quality without changing approved product designs.
  • Train, coach, and cross-train employees while setting clear performance expectations, quality standards, and individual accountability.
  • Lead daily production meetings covering staffing, material availability, work assignments, production targets, output, quality issues, and outstanding priorities.
  • Routinely inspect employees’ work, address performance concerns, and ensure adherence to approved manufacturing procedures.
  • Build a team-first culture through disciplined, professional leadership, clear communication, shared accountability, and continuous improvement; encourage employee input while retaining responsibility for decisions, execution, and results.
